The Ehsaas school stipends program is now extended to the upper secondary level. Students in classes 6-10 will also receive a trimester education stipend. Per the details, the Benazir Income Support Program Board BISP formally approved the inclusion of first and second year intermediate students in the Wasila Education Program.
The board also approved a stipend of Rs 3,500 per quarter for boys and Rs 4,000 per person for first and second year girls. Matric students will also receive PKR: 3000 trimester stipends. It should be remembered that the BISP Benazir Income Support Programme Steering Committee formally approved on June 16 of this month the inclusion of Upper Secondary Education in the program and referred the matter to the BISP Board for final approval.
It should be noted that the government also approved the inclusion of secondary education in the Waseela Taleem Program. Starting next July, all deserving students from elementary school through class 12 will receive scholarships on a quarterly basis. A stipend of Rs. 3,000 will be awarded as a graduation stipend upon completion of elementary school.
