The HEC Islamabad Higher Education Commission announced a
postdoctoral scholarship program for Ph.D. title holders. Candidates who have
not made use of any postdoctoral scholarship program and who have a placement
letter in the top 200 universities in the QS world ranking from a relevant
supervisor can apply.
Applications can be submitted online on the research portal
of the HEC website. The last date to submit the online application is September
20, 2021. The application will be processed based on the online information /
data provided by the applicant. In case of any errors / omissions and
misrepresentations, HEC reserves the right to reject the application at any
time.
Eligibility Criteria for Phase III of the HEC
Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
Nationals of Pakistan / AJK Holder of a degree from a local
or international university recognized by HEC Must be a regular employee of a
university / DAI recognized by HEC or a public sector R&D organization
(recognized by the Council of Science and Technology from Pakistan) Must not
have obtained any postdoctoral fellowship before Must not be Over 45 years of
age at closing date 5 years of work experience in Pakistan after completing
foreign PhD Must have placement letter in top 200 universities / QS World
Research Institutes Ranking of a Relevant Supervisor Must have acquired the
required qualification on or before the closing date.
How to Apply for the HEC Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
- Applicants must submit an application online via research.hec.gov.pk .
- Applicants must deposit / transfer online / Bank draft / Money order / ATM transfer Rs. 1000 / - (Non-refundable) as an application processing fee payable to the Chief Financial Officer, HEC. Fee can be deposited at Habib Bank Limited A / C No. 1742-7900 1334-01.
- Only SUBMITTED applications will be processed. SAVED applications will not be considered.
