The Punjab government has announced the closure of all public and private schools in the province for a week. Schools will be closed September 6-11, 2021 due to COVID-19 conditions. The fourth wave of coronavirus is on the rise and new restrictions are imposed.
The Minister of School Education, Dr. Murad Raas announced the decision today. He also tweeted the same thing through his official Twitter admin. The minister also requested to stay home and stay safe. Protect yourself and your families. Schools will reopen on Monday, September 13, 2021.
As newer variants of COVID-19 are more deadly, the NCOC has issued guidelines for provinces to restrict the spread of the virus. The KP government has also imposed restrictions on 9 districts. Only 50% of students can attend school on alternate days.
