The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has
launched an online portal for the issuance of equivalency certificates against
degrees issued by Pakistani educational institutes.
According to an official statement, the
equivalence portal has been integrated into the already functional HEC
electronic services portal.
From the presentation of the receipt of the
challan fee to the presentation of the educational documents, the online
equivalency portal has digitized the entire process of obtaining a certificate
of equivalence of a local title.
Additionally, the online portal will allow
applicants to track the status of their applications. It will send the
certificates of equivalence generated by the system to your emails.
Those who cannot use the online facility can
still obtain certificates of equivalence with local titles by applying for them
manually.
Speaking in this regard, a HEC spokesperson
called the launch of the equivalency portal a "revolutionary step",
adding that HEC will take similar steps in the future to facilitate students.
The spokesperson said that the equivalency portal has been developed after receiving input from all Pakistani universities and other degree-granting institutions.
