PMC has reopened the registration portal for MDCAT 2022. Previously, it was suspended due to technical issues shortly after the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) announced the schedule for the National Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2022. The national MDCAT is mandatory for seeking admission to any government or private medical and dental college in the country. PMC conducts National Computerized MDCAT. The tests are held at different locations across the country as well as abroad for Overseas Pakistanis and international students.
Registration for MDCAT reopened on May 27, 2022. The last date to apply for PMC MDCAT 2022 is July 5, 2022. PMC National MDCAT 2022 will be held from September 7 to 30 in 20 cities across Pakistan.
The Council has also approved the policy to add provincial MDCAT Committees that will be constituted in each province and territory by the corresponding provincial and federal governments, composed of three members appointed by the provincial government, of which two will be from public sector medical universities and one from a private medical university.
The MDCAT committees will review the curriculum and recommend to the National Academic Board of Medicine and Dentistry any changes to the curriculum or propose a bank of questions to include on the MDCAT exam. The purpose is to engage all stakeholders to ensure transparency and ownership. The MDCAT 2022 exam will be conducted through PMC's proprietary IT system developed for that purpose."
The test will be held simultaneously in Islamabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Quetta. Overseas testing centers for National MDCAT 2022 are the US, UK, Europe, Gulf States, and Asia.
